This happens everywhere. I work at a coffee shop. Its not uncommon for people to walk up to the till, and tell me "I want coffee." To which I naturally reply, "What size of coffee?" Which, sadly, more often than not gets me the answer. "Coffee!" (With accompanied angry glare.) After politely suggesting a medium size, I then ask if they would like some cream or sugar. I am not kidding when I tell you people have actually gotten very angry at this point for making coffee unnecessarily confusing.
Then there are the people who clearly aren't all there, and ask me for things like: A large facebook, a toasted french vanilla, or a cinnamon regan bagel.
Ahhhhh... good times. Kinda like when I worked at Dominos. You answer the phone with .."DominoPIZZA..' and I can't tell you how many people would ask, "hi, do you sell pizza?' Or the 'can you tell me what's on a pepperoni and mushroom pizza?' You ask, 'well, do you want anything else on it? No? Then pepperoni and mushrooms.' Then they ask: "is there pineapple on that?' 'well, do you WANT pineapple on that? No? Then no.' Customer: 'okay, so what other meats come on that then..' O.o
