Second, Bruce Lee was never a professional fighter and never was the champion of anything, Chuck Norris was a professional Kick Boxer / Pro Karate Fighter and has a life time record of 183 - 10 - 2. In 1968 he won the middleweight Karate championship and was considered the p4p number 1 fighter in the world (he also beat Joe Lewis that year in a rematch). Chuck Norris has been formely trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, and Tae Kwan Do, Bruce Lee was formerly trained in Kung Fu and Tae Kwon Do and founded Jeet Kune Do. Bruce Lee would have been an amazing Kick Boxer and an even more amazing Professional Boxer based on his hand speed, but never fought any one of note outside of training exercises and demonsrations he performed with some notable fighters (including Joe Lewis to whom he lost). Bruce Lee's fighting was 100% theoretical and he would have gotten his ass wooped in a professional full contact fight without any formal training. When Chuck Norris was asked by CNBC if he could have beaten Bruce Lee in a real life fight during the filming of Return of the Dragon, he said of course.... at the time Bruce Lee was an Actor who had never trained or been in a real professional fight, and Chuck Norris was the #1 ranked p4p MMA fighter in the world (additionally at a higher weight class than Bruce Lee would have been). He had several martial arts theories that renowned fighters and martial artists deemed impossible and he proved them wrong. He performed numerous amazing feats etc ... and developed his own style of martial arts, but despite all that he was never a professional fighter and never went up against any of the best in the world. It would be like back when their was all the Lebron James hype (he was the best basketball prospect ever / destined to be better than Jordan etc ....), saying that he was already better than Jordan without ever having played a pro game ... their is a certain level of experience and comfort a fighter has to achieve before reaching his potential.
