    And what if it's 51˛? 51-25= 26 50-51= -1 -1x-1= 1 51˛ = 261? it should be 2601... is there another rule like -1x-1= 01? xD

It's mostly because 1 and 01 and 0000000000000000000000000000000000001 are all the same number, but it works if you put a 0 before the last number when there is only 3 , cauz it's working with 52 53 and on until 60, then you need to ADD the second one to the other = 60-25 = 35 (this is 3500) 60-50 = (-)10x(-)10 = 100 35+100 doesn't equal 3600, but 3500 + 100 ______ 3600 =] try some like this and you'll see it always work

    100(x-25)+(50-x)^2 = x^2 Let's walk through this. 100(x-25) = 100x - 2500 (50-x)^2 = 2500 -100x +x^2 Adding up the now multiplied terms gets us 100x-100x+2500-2500+x^2 This simplifies to x^2. Q.E.D.

Don't think of it as "FIrst number is right next to second number", instead, here is the actual equation. 100(x-25)^2 + (50-x)^2 = x^2

it does work with everything that is squared actually... you just don't know the formula. this is always how I show people how to square a number quickly. #mathnerd
