I would guess that Fart here has something to do with driving. My assumption is, of course, that Danish is somewhat related to German, where fahren is "to drive" or "to ride" and the conjugation for the plural pronoun ihr (you all or y'all in English) is fahrt,
As a related aside, when you want to say "you all drive" in German, it sounds like you're saying ear fart.
Thank you. I figured it wasn't too much of a leap to say "something to do with driving." I don't know a lick of Danish, but I do know German, and Danish is a Germanic language.
I understand a little bit of Swedish. Comes from listening to Falconer, mostly. Also, my dad works for Volvo Information Technology, so he has a few Swedish coworkers.
Yeah, I know that feel. I say I know German, but then I actually tried speaking with a German person. She slowed it down for me, and I still couldn't understand a third of what she was saying.
