First off that's so subtle while the cross on his face is NOT. Secondly if you look Sparrow has several tokens from his worldy travels..it's not so much to say he IS all those things but rather that he visited those areas and the people of those cultures came to respect him enough to give him those tokens...he's kind of devoid of any religion if you haven't noticed with all the sexxing and the the lootin'. Moreover Muslims don't wear turbans, only some do, like some people in the US wear absolutely nothing because they have the IQ of a fish, so does this apply.
