Hmm, might want to rethink why it is you're opening doors for people, if it upsets you that much. (Though I agree people have no fuckin manners anymore) I still open doors for people.../shrug.

Sophie Junglist Richman ooh London, so jealous! I've actually heard nothing but bad things about living in London, for some reason...I'd still give my right arm to live there. LOL And yea, people are so weird about simple, polite things. Guys look at me weird, girls think I'm hitting on them...it's like WTF...

Snizzle Dizzle good rant, i enjoyed it :) i live in london, NO ONE says hello to each other ever but i really wish they did. it seems so unusual here to help a blind person cross the road or ask someone who looks upset if they're ok. i've always done stuff like this but recently i've started studying health and social work as i wish to be a social worker. every time i say or do something nice for someone now people reply "you're such a social worker".... no! i'm just a human being with manners and i treat others how i wish to be treated. what i would give for more people to do for others as they would want for themselves.

Sophie Junglist Richman definitely. I remember reading something a long time ago about some lady from the east coast moving here (I live in CA) and finding that over time she became less friendly towards people, particularly strangers. Had to do with the fact that people are (on average) much more rude/anti-social here. She eventually realized it was affecting her personally and she had to make a conscious effort to turn it around. Point is, I've lived here my whole life...and even so this story struck a chord with me. The point was basically not to let the attitudes of others change your attitude. So, I still hold doors for people, even if they don't care, and I still say "Hi" to people when I walk by them, even though NOBODY does this on the west coast...and I don't let it bother me than 90% of the time nobody says anything back. LOL, rant off...for some reason this post reminded me of that story... :)

I should say though...that for every time I get ignored for doing something everybody should be doing, I get somebody who looks at me in utter shock that I am actually polite...and that more than makes up for it. :)

Snizzle Dizzle i 100% agree. there are ill mannered assholes out there that don't give a fuck for other people but every so often you come across someone who appreciates it and it makes it all worthwhile.

Hmmm, your spelling and general use of the English language on step #7 is a bit off. Here let me help you with your comment spam... 7. - Paste this in fifteen comments and the day you spoke of on step 4 will be the day that your crush/love will confess their love for you and will ask you to become a couple. This part is where I had some issues and came up with two options... If you don't do this, you will suffer wrong doings for three years. If you don't do this, you will suffer wrongly for going on 3 years. People might believe the superstitious nature of your comment more if you spell correctly. Maybe... Also funny picture and so true haha
