Like old grandma's. that's what I hafta do nowadays. hahah they should either keep the old ones, or use their own personal cars. it'd stimulate the economy if they bought their own expensive parts like the rest of us! >:{D

  5. Daniel Salmons says:
It kinda irks me when I see cops driving around in these brand new Mustangs and what not. I mean, I get you have to be able to keep up, but come on, really guys? Also, I HATE unmarked cars. I get that they have some general purpose, but idk. It just seems like a big ass money racket to me. But maybe I'm just young and bitter.

Kurk Knight i can make ungrounded statements too. i used to handmake every car ever. and because this is the internet i have to be right. No your stupid police cars are faster (they remove limiters, and have higher models.) this is because other people on the road have fast cars. and thats how cops keep up in car chases. i've seen one of those old police interceptors (upgraded crown vics) catch up to sports cars. you are wrong. http://askville.amazon.com/kind-engines-police-cars/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=5995597 read the article. there is a citation there. they take non-base engines( not always the biggest one) and upgrade it.

Noah Ginsburg Whatever i did work there and am not lieing about my experiences, and the link was from 52 months ago, most states dont pursue in city limits so unless its the Police Pursuit Package which is mainly for the freeway, and even then its not get to much put into it, just Performance Exhaust, 215mm Rear Axle, and a Rear Stabilizer Bar, its the 5.7L v8 HEMI VVT Engine version which is one of the good models but not the best. As for the crown vic i dont know anything about that, but 250hp isnt very much

Unfortunately the undercover SHO's wont have those rims or the painted calipers. That was fords concept for SEMA. Now, granted they might have undercover unmarked SHO's but not looking like this. Here is what you can expect the newer cruisers to look like. Charleston PD was just approved for a bunch of SHO's because they're faster than chargers and have better handling. http://www.themustangnews.com/content/2010/03/2011-ford-taurus-police-interceptor-revealed/

Sorry to tell you guys but many of the nice ass cars cops drive were ceased in relation to drug crimes. There is a law that permits them to do this.

  17. Snizzle Dizzle says:
I still have yet to see a chase on tv where the original crime was worth putting an entire city and it's population at risk of being killed. Why do they need fast cars again? 99% of them just hide behind bushes and hand out tickets anyway. Bleh...

  23. Laura Crookston says:
Being bitter about getting caught speeding or committing some other crime aside, unmarked police cars bother me because I know someone who was pulled over by a man who was impersonating a cop. These only help sickos to do this. They think this may be the case with these murders in MS: http://news.sky.com/home/world-news/article/16228365. Also, ever notice how the unmarked and low-profile cop cars have illegal window tint? Apparently it's only illegal for us normal folks.

  28. Tish Garred says:
What doesn't make sense to me is seeing Mustangs as police cars. They have a lot of horsepower and yeah they're fast but the handling is awful. Seems like a bad idea for a police chase but maybe that's me. Also in general I dislike unmarked cars. It's way too easy for someone to impersonate an office.
