Bad comparison. You should have said, "I dunno is there a difference between Arena League Football and College Football? NFL footlball, and the Lingerie Football League?"
But I am giving you too much credit. To borrow from what you said in some other thread, are these not cars with upwards of 800 horsepower, being driven at upwards o 200 MPH? Does it not involve physics and engineering? Does it not require excellent pit crews and such? Are there not occasional flying balls of flame?
So I ask again: There is a difference?
Just like Baseball and Cricket, both involve hitting balls with sticks, and hockey and soccer involve scoring by putting something into nets... Other than that, the equipment, arena, and rules are completely different.
Why are you trying to excuse your ignorance? Just accept you are wrong, look dumb, and move on.
Allow me to educate you. Analogies are used for a variety of philosophical, rhetorical, educational, etc. reasons. They can be categorized on a spectrum from weak to strong. A weak analogy is one where there are relatively few similarities. E.g, a marble as an analog for the sun is very weak. A strong analogy is one where most of the properties are similar. A Steelhead trout is a strong analog for a Coho salmon.
So, hopefully, you can see how baseball and cricket (with the entirely different pitching techniques, equipment, rules, and even objectives) are less similar than College Football is to NFL Football.
It is my contention that even though I was wrong about this being nascar, it might as well be because as far as I know other than the specific tracks and model of cars, they are identical.
I am inviting you to enlighten me as to the specific ways that the differ so drastically.
Look at how much energy you've used to ineffectively explain away your ignorance. In the time it took you to justify all that, you could have simply googled rallies and nascar and learned all the differences.
Like the fact that they race in different style arenas. Like say one of the differences between cricket and baseball. Or that they use different types of cars that do different things, like say the difference between a hockey puck and a soccer ball. Or that there are completely different rules regarding how you drive, like the difference between rugby and football rules.
This is my last attempt to educate a moron. Any future posts on this subject from you will simply garner the response "ignorantdumbfuckwadsayswhat" from me.
Enjoy your life, send my condolences to your friends and family.
By your reasoning, every sport with a ball and grass is the same with no significant differences. You are a dumb ass.

Response to you FIRST sentence: You seem to have missed my point entirely. Indeed, I was actually stressing the difference between baseball and cricket, both of which are sports played with a ball on grass. I would go so far as to say I was calling /your/ comparison of cricket and baseball obtuse.
Your only point is that the tracks are different. Is that the /only/ difference? So they are driving on either more or less circular tracks? HOW are the tracks different?
You are trying to compare a short, fat, cylindrical, dense, puck that slides over ice and is manipulated by the players with sticks is to a relatively large, round, bouncy, air-filled ball that rolls on grass and is manipulated by the players with all parts of the body except hands (not including the goalie)?
Do you see how I was able to enumerate specific differences between those two things?
You keep accusing me of ignorance, but you have yet to point out how this form of racing is different than nascar (other than the specific track that they race on). You keep making asinine comparisons between baseball and cricket, or hockey and soccer.
You can't actually tell me what the difference is between this version of high powered stock car racing is compared to nascar nascar. You were wrong from the beginning and all you can do is whine and accuse me of ignorance when it seems to me you are ignorant of virtually every sport out there.
Forget about nascar. Do you even know the difference between lacrosse and ultimate frisbee?
this is grand prix and its alot like the 2 road and track courses nascar has. yall know, more then just left turns.
And yes much more exciting then nascar, always best from in the car though. I think id rather WATCH boxing.
