because this is a scam. Most of the money donated will go into the pockets of the organization's creators or to fund the production of these promotional movies they make, which they spend millions on. If they were really legit, they would donate 60 or maybe even 80% of the money they raise. Instead, they give 30% and won't let their finances be audited by internationally recognized charity watch groups. Also, their "solution" for getting rid of Kony is to fund Uganda's standing army, an organization which is itself facing claims of child soldier recruitment and rape on an epic scale. I'm all for helping kids, but giving money to some rich American scammers isn't going to help.
Also, mild conspiracy theory moment here, anyone else find it awfully convenient that no one gives a crap about Kony for nearly a decade but then when oil is discovered in Uganda there's all of a sudden a massive campaign to "stabilize" the place coming from America? You gotta wonder.
there are just some lines you just don't cross.
there is a lot of Invisible Children support going around and I don't mind that, but what I want to know is why is there so much anti Invisible Children people out there? does it matter how long people have known of the disgusting actions of Kony?
why wouldn't you want to make a positive impact on the lives of Millions?

you can call the organization and America selfish. they are giving a window of hope to everyone in uganda, and thats something that they haven't had in decades, and if you dont wana give ur money to I.C. inc. give it to another organization that will help the people of uganda.
The only way of been 100% secure that you money go to help these people is go to Africa personally. Not everybody can do that, so if we dont trust this organization, we can donate to another one. Or dont donate al all.
Its hard to find a true solution to all problems in th world, but no impossible.
Alejandro Campos I want him captured, his actions must be stopped. What i wanted to say is that yes, maybe all this "donate money to stop kony" is not as transparent, but we should do what we can to help. And if someone dont trust invisible children, there are other organizations and ways to do it.
Jesus Arturo Hernandez Sanchez
yea i agree with u man im not a die hard I.C. Inc person but i do like the fact that their goals gear toward helping others. n yeah i am also sayin that other organizations are out there if you dont like IC inc.
yeah, I definitely don't think that not helping is the answer, I would just personally prefer to see my dollars go to an organization that is more transparent and, more importantly, efficient. Charities actually located and working in Uganda, that provide actual, physical benefits(housing, education, farming assistance etc)would be my choice. There are more problems there than just Kony, and there are others in need of help besides children.
Monika Hartley Wasn't the point of the video to make it into an internet sensation?! Well, now it is! You can't have it both ways, either he's an internet joke or he's unknown.
Oh, Now all you white knighters care about this after the video went viral.Activists have been telling you this shit for decades.Did you care to listen? No, just like everything else you choose to ignore it until you had no choice but recognize it. I.E. recycling renewable energy sources and the U.S. Military treatment of anyone and everyone.
uhh, I'm pretty sure this whole "first person shooter" experience is endorsed by Microsoft's xbox 360 more than it is with Sony...stop trying to be clever by replacing Kony with Sony just because it sounds similar..stop ruining a company's reputation.
The idea of giving kids guns through video games is bad, not the company who made the system on which these games play on. Get your facts straight.
Damn y'all got deep on this. People make jokes about the dead and that's okay, but as soon as something remotely joking about child endangerment people get all in their feelings. I agree with some of these comments, and I respect the others, but why do we(as americans) feel its our duty to dip into other peoples business? We got shit to deal with over here. If we stick our neck out to far our head might get cut off.
How is Sony to blame considering the Game Call of Duty series is not made by Sony. In addition the game is rated M for Mature which means these children could not get the game on their own. Stop blaming the game companies when the parents do not follow the rating system assigned to video games because they think their child is the exception to the rules.
