Brianna Michelle I have a couple of uncles that do this and I still laughed like hell. I also shared it with them and they laughed too. I think you might just be sensitive.
Gabi Moreno-Jones Perhaps it was meant innocently, but it seems a bit unfair how hard these and other people around the world have to work just to make it, while we reap the benefits. It just seems a bit off is all.
Brianna Michelle If it was meant innocently, why can't you just leave it there? It's just a joke. What's this 'we' a lot of people work very hard here for what they get.
Gabi Moreno-Jones The US in general. A lot of people claim they work very hard they get and most do. Many others have everything handed to them on a silver platter. I can guarantee you won't find the average American picking fruits and vegetables in all day for less than minimum wage. I merely commented that it kinda saddened me that people find this to be a laughing matter, which suggests to me a lack of sensitivity/empathy for others.
Mexicans (natives, at least) are beyond hard-working. Somebody has to pick the food from the ground, and most Americans (myself as well, admittedly) are WAY too lazy to do that. While it is unfair that they are not paid minimum wage like everyone else, it is still a HUGE advantage for them back in their country. It's a shame how illegal immigration's not some cut-and-dry thing where we can make a unanimous decision and have it be right.
