Neat Cases for Your Bluetooth Keyboard

With its built-in wireless technology, the Bluetooth keyboard enables you to connect wirelessly to your computing devices, particularly tablets like the iPad. There are several neat cases out there that consist of the case itself and the keyboard. This accessory enables you to physically connect the keyboard and transform your tablet into a laptop, while providing protection by covering it. A Bluetooth keyboard case is helpful if you need to do some hardcore writing and an onscreen virtual keyboard won’t cut it. Here are a few cool case brands:

Logitech

This provider of computer accessories offers the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for the second-, third-, and fourth-generation iPad. It is one of the more popular keyboard cases out there, thanks to its super thin aluminum screen cover (thus the name). The cover securely attaches to the tablet via magnetic clips, and it has an instant On/Off feature for waking the iPad or putting it to sleep. Available in black or white finish and providing up to six months of battery life on a full charge, the Logitech cover retails for $99.99.

Targus

Also going for $99.99 is the Versavu Keyboard Case from Targus, which is designed for the iPad 2. The thick leather case leaves space to display the Apple logo, and there’s a center pivot enabling you to rotate the tablet inside the case and use it in portrait or landscape mode. The interior is made of scratch-resistant material to protect the iPad’s screen. Included with the keyboard and case is a built-in holster for a pen or stylus.

Kensington

Available in brown, red, or caramel, the Kensington Pro 2 keyboard/case combo from security and computer accessories manufacturer Kensington Computer Products comes with a secured Velcro fastener to ensure tablet vertical stability. Viewing angle range for this case is measured at 70 to 20 degrees, and it is compatible with the iPad 2, 3rd Generation and 4th Generation. Like the aforementioned entries from Logitech and Targus, the Pro 2 costs $99.99.

Belkin

Although Belkin has quite a number of Bluetooth keyboard cases for the new iPad Air, the QODE Slim Style Keyboard Case might be the coolest of them all. With a price tag of $79.99, it’s considerably less expensive than the other cases on this list. Also, it is available in an unparalleled number of cool color finishes: White/Topax, Black, White/Purple, Black/Red, and White/Sorbet. But the QODE Slim Style is more than just affordable and pretty. The case is ultra-slim and lightweight, making it easy to carry the iPad around in it. The Bluetooth keyboard—which features well-spaced, responsive TruType keys for rapid typing—easily folds back so you can read or view the iPad like an e-reader. Also featured is a stand with multiple angles for watching videos.

Zagg

Also accommodating the iPad Air is the ZAGGKeys Vader Backlit Cover, one of the covers produced by Utah-based mobile accessories manufacturer Zagg. This particular cover is unique for its backlit keyboard; the advantage of this feature is that you can easily type in low-light areas. Zagg boasts the thinnest Bluetooth keyboard on the market with this case, with a thickness of 0.25 inches. Available in grey or black, the ZAGGKeys Vader Backlit Cover sells for $99.99.
