Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi, Toyota Etios Cross is a crossover car from Toyota. The moment Toyota launched the Etios Cross, it came to be known as the jacked up Liva hatchback. But is the Etios Cross just a beefed up version of the Etios Cross with a little bit of styling tweaks? Let us compare both the cars.

Toyota Etios Cross is about 100 mm short of the 4-metre mark, making it eligible for the excise duty benefits.

The 2014 Toyota Etios Cross shares the same underpinnings as the Etios Liva. But compared to the Etios Liva hatchback, the Etios Cross is 3895 mm long (120 mm longer), 1735 mm wide (40 mm wider) and 1555 mm tall (45 mm taller) in its dimensions. Toyotal Etios Liva vs Etios Cross – Crossover Vs Hatchback

Look-wise, the 2014 Toyota Etios Cross is more aggressive when compared to the Etios Liva, thanks to the side claddings. Apart from the black plastic cladding all around the car, the Etios Cross gets a silver grille guard, silver side mouldings on top of the black plastic, silver guards on the front and rear bumper and silver roof rails. The headlamp is different and the indicator sits above the fog lamps. The new grille is much bigger and less curvy than the Etios Liva hatchback. The rear-roof spoiler is also a new addition to the car. The Etios Cross also gets an additional black plastic moulding on the bottom of the hatch-door with Etios Cross embossed on it. Another differentiating factor is the new 15-inch alloy wheel design for the crossover.

The 2014 Toyota Etios Cross gets one new paint option over the Etios Liva hatchback, Inferno Orange. The 2014 Toyota Etios Cross gets all black interiors as against the grey and red interiors of the Liva.
