Libertarians, What Other People Think I Do
  1. Nick Centrella says:
Rob Baxi Iran's oil infrastructure is pitiful, despite their large reserves because they are a poor country and can barely even maintain a military defense for themselves. Being surrounded by multiple nations with nuclear weapons and a desperate need for alternative fuel sources, it's no surprise Iran would invest in a nuclear program. As a country that has never attacked another nation in its entire history, you'd think this would be a relative non-issue. Unfortunately, the military industrial complex of the western countries need a new war to make their profits and have jacked up the military propaganda against Iran just like they did in Iraq. How is Iran any different than Iraq? The USA is sanctioning Iran hardcore and bullying them around and then when Iran says that it will defend itself if necessarily, CNN and Fox say "Iran threatens to attack US and Israel!" As for the NDAA, the executive branch was responsible for that article of the bill to begin with! How do you just "reluctantly" sign away the Bill of Rights? Rofl. He says he doesn't intend to use its power, but how can he claim that w/o recognizing the obvious concept of it being used by future presidents in the wrong fashion? It's something to be very afraid of. I could write for another hour about how the FED has destroyed our currency and caused -ALL- of our problems and why it needs to go and also the intricate problems behind bureaucracies like the EPA, IRS, and multiple departments, but I really don't feel like it. Google is a great tool for such things.

Rob Baxi I don't consider any of them to be good media sources. You bash Fox for having right wing bias, what about the left wing bias among the vast majority of other media outlets? Try harder, boy.

  3. Rob Baxi says:
Shane Wilson Lol i love how you say main stream media, Fox? you consider those guys a real media outlet, its just Rupert Murdok's little right wing propaganda machine. Nick we went into Iraq under the pretense of WMD's, that were never really there, Iran themselves are claiming to build something, I don't care about the oil they have, I just don't want to have a country out there that has been caught with having state funded terror plots.

Undeclared, Also unfunded, We were there over 90 days, he needs congresses approval to do that, and they went with it turning it into a war. Libya, ok we went there for oil, why were we in Iraq? as for Iran, ill be glad if we go in. They've targeted enough things in other countries with terrorist acts. As for the NDAA act, Obama signed it reluctantly, he didn't approve of that act which can hold citizens without a trial, guess who put that in there? As far as the bailouts, i agree they went through without much help but that's because of fucking greed put forward by the banks who received the banks. Where as Paul wants to dismantle every thing he sees as unnecessary such as the FED, the EPA, and god knows what else.

Not completely, he hasn't started an unfunded war, he's saved the american auto industry, hell he actually called for the death of bin laden when bush killed the committee in charge of finding him.

  6. Nick Centrella says:
Rob Baxi Unfunded war? You must surely mean undeclared war. If that's the case how to you explain Libya? The only reason we went into there was to dismantle Qaddafi's gold-backed oil reserves under the guise of "helping the people." Look it up. Not to mention his unwarranted sanctions and other military maneuvers upon Iran, a nation whose military force is 1% of ours and poses no threat to us or Israel. Of course, there's also the NDAA which says Obama can detain you for the rest of your life without the right to a trial if he thinks you are "dangerous" to the country. Oh, and the many other bailouts that costed the tax payers trillions of dollars with little return. Where do you think we are getting all the money to do all this, btw? You do realize that once our dollar collapses, we are going to go the way of the Soviet Union and lose all our influence in the world scene... a truly dangerous concept indeed considering we've made so many enemies. Paul 2012.

  9. Nick Centrella says:
Rob Baxi I don't think you read the first paragraph of my last comment - Iran is not a threat. That quote of their president saying he'd wipe Israel off the face of the earth was a gross mistranslation that the media loves to use. What he really said was something along the lines of "The Zionist regime backed by the west needs to be erased from the annals of history." And I wholeheartedly agree with him there. Israel's very own president has stated that Israel can defend itself with its 300 nukes and military 3x greater than that of Iran's. It's all lies, just like Iraq.

Nick Centrella It's okay Nick, some people are happy with listening to what the mainstream media (Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc) has to say and taking it at no more than face value. If Obama really didn't want to sign NDAA, why didn't he just NOT sign it? lol "He reluctantly signed the bill" means nothing to the people it effects. What a joke.

Yeah, we facepalm so much while reading what supporters of both of the major parties say or believe. So many sheeple out there not man enough to stand up and go against the status quo when it comes to politics. They either sit back and accept getting boned in the butt or wind up being a bunch of Obamabots, talking crap on bush, when Obama has done all the bad things Bush has done on a much grander scale and more!

I vote democrat, and I don't think you're the monopoly man, more like the pussyfooted gentleman who accidentally let's the evil people take over, and has no problem with institutionalized racism. So yeah, I guess I'm more in line with what your friends think you do.

I believe you're thinking of communism, or at least fascism. Actually the argument could be made that since our Armed forces are run as a socialist institution, Socialism has harmed many people. But then again since our national parks are also socialist, Socialism has given many a people a pretty nice day. And then again, since the NFl is a socialist organization, Socialism can be said to be ignoring the cumulative effects of multiple concussions. But it also beats capitalist baseball in ratings every year. Also, the European countries who are beating us in education, life expectancy, quality of life, and civil liberties seem to be enjoying their socialism. Germany has had universal healthcare for over a hundred years... boy do we look stupid by comparison, with our 1st in cost and 36th in effectiveness world wide.
